You will need to film 2 videos of your swing and submit them in a lesson after you log in to your account on the website. After you upload your videos, Monte will review your video and provide his thoughts and instructional videos to refer to within each lesson. You can then log back on to your account to read Monte's recommendations and view the instructional videos after your lesson is completed.
Your videos will need to show two different angles:
When lining up the shafts to film the videos, make sure you put the golf ball a safe distance from the shafts. Especially if you have a very open or closed stance, as we don't want any broken clubs. You may also use a dowel rod, a line up stick or any other object that will represent straight lines for the purpose of perspective.
It is ideal to shoot these videos at a driving range with a digital camera and a tripod. However, someone else holding the camera is fine too.
Videos may also be shot with a camera in the back yard with a foam or plastic golf ball, or even in your own living room with a crumpled up piece of paper the size of a ball. The videos may even be shot with a cell phone camera at the range, in the back yard, or in the living room.
As long as the two angles are shot as explained in the above links and you are swinging at a golf ball sized and shaped object.
NO PRACTICE SWINGS, as they are not indicative of what a golf swing looks like when you are hitting the golf ball.
Make a file for all of your videos that is easily accessible and name them with the dates they were taken.
When taking a video with a cell phone, just send a text to your email by putting your email address in the area that you would normally put a phone number and save the video to the file you have setup.
We strongly recommend using Firefox as your browser for uploading your videos and viewing the lessons. Click here to download a free copy of FireFox and install in your computer.
